A couple of really neat online story time websites I just discovered! Click on the link below the description to explore their websites.

Storyline Online is a free website introduced by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). The Site features SAG members reading children's books online. There is a wide variety of books to choose from.

Just Books Read Aloud is a neatly organized website where you can choose the length of the book, author, narrator, topic, reading level, and language. There is free access to all the books, but a membership is optional.

Activities are available at the library in a "Grab 'n Go" bag according to ages. Links to each week's program are found under the Summer Reading Program tab at the top of the page.

As of May 19, 2020, the Villisca Public Library re-opened to the public to provide access to physical materials, but with reduced hours. Other services are limited or restricted. Please check out the About Us tab at the top and click on Plans to read the Villisca Public Library's Re-Opening Phased Plan.

Hey Kids! (and Parents)

Here's a great website to check out anytime from the National Center for Family Literacy. It has a free, online program with weekly interactive activities. Check it out, have some fun, then go read a book :)

The photos of The Biggest Snowman Ever! Contest have been moved to the READING tab, inside the CONTESTS folder on the left-hand side.

Photos of Summer Reading Program are slowly being added. So far we have Deb Karwal's (Montgomery County Conservation Educator) Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, Box Turtle, and Fox Snake.
