StoryWalk (R)

The Harris Harmony Walkng Trail, located near the Enarson Elementary School and the baseball/softball fields, now has a StoryWalk (R). What is a StoryWalk (R)? StoryWalk (R) is a fun and educational resource for children and adults to enjoy literacy, physical activity, and the outdoors all at the same time. A StoryWalk (R) is a series of signs featuring sequential spreads from a children's picture book and as you stroll down the trail, you're directed to the next page in the story!

The StoryWalk (R) begins at the sidewalk leading down from the Enarson Elementary School next to the playground and moves counterclockwise along the 1/3 of a mile walking trail. This project was made possible with funding from the AARP (R) Community Challenge Grant, the Vilisca Community Betterment Association, and the Villisca Public Library.

The StoryWalk (R) Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk (R) is a registered service mark owned by Mrs. Ferguson.
