Villisca Public Library
We still have some openings for participants in our Geri-Fit Strength Training Workout for Older Adults. It is a 45-minute evidence based strength training exercise class for older adults. Most of the bodybuilding exercises are performed seated in chairs with a set of light dumbbell weights. You NEVER have to get on the floor! Enrollment is open to older adults of all ages and fitness levels...simply work out at your own pace! Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a set of 2-pound dumbbells, a stretch band, and a bottle of water to drink. After the 12 week course, participants aged 65 and over will complete a short survey to see if they have seen an improvement since they started Geri-Fit.
Classes are Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10:00-10:45 at the Villisca Community Building, unless there is a funeral luncheon, then we will meet in the Methodist Church basement. Classes will run through April 12th. If weather is uncooperative, we will let you know if classes are cancelled.
Tuesday, January 22nd we will meet in the Methodist Church basement. Use the SE door, as there are only 4 steps to go down/up.

The Library has new Friday hours. Beginning January 18, 2019, the Library's Friday hours will be 11:00 am-6:00 pm. Regular Friday hours will resume April 26, 2019.
